Farming has always been one of the most important Economic Activities in India. With about twothirds of the population engaged in Agriculture and Agriculture-related activities, it is important tounderstand the plight of Farmers in India and why they are struggling to survive. According to astatement by the Maharashtra state government in 2021, 639 Indian farmers committed suicidewithin three months due to drought and crippling debts. Farmers need to be Educated about theschemes and grants provided by the government. They also require training in newer and moreeffective agricultural practices.Shahari Va Gramin Vikas Bahuddeshiya Sanstha (SGVBS) is an organization started with the aimof working on sustainable projects related to Skill Development and Management, CropOptimization, Soil Conservation, help to deal with new technology and gives formal Educationabout schemes and grants provided by the government (SGVBS) works to help farmers in Indiastruggling with extreme Poverty, illiteracy and lack of Healthcare. They ensure that farmers cansupport their families by providing them with seeds, saplings, pesticides, and other supplies.Shahari Va Gramin Vikas Bahuddeshiya Sanstha (SGVBS) NGO was established to create aHealthy, Empowered, and Educated community(SGVBS) have assisted more than 5500 families in Agriculture and Horticulture based livelihoodprograms.
